About me

Hi, I’m Julia Andohr. I am a strategy consultant working at the intersection of venture growth, institutional systems, and emerging market delivery, with a focus on East Africa and Europe. I help teams turn complex realities into clear priorities, practical execution plans, and decision ready materials.

I started my career in the UK in commercial strategy and customer experience roles, working on projects for organisations like Shell, T Mobile, and O2 Telefónica. That decade trained me to structure ambiguous problems, translate insight into offers people actually adopt, and align cross functional teams around execution. At VCCP, I supported the introduction of human centred design and customer experience approaches into strategy work, and led work for O2 that contributed to a reported 39 percent increase in customer sign ups.

I then chose to focus my work on economic development and entrepreneurship in Tanzania, where I worked with the World Food Programme’s first Local Innovation Hub in Dar es Salaam, supporting early stage founders through mentorship programme design and ecosystem coordination tools. Since then, I have continued to advise ventures and ecosystem actors in Tanzania, including YES:ID, Warioba Ventures, and Tunzaa, on positioning, segmentation, and revenue logic, and I mentor graduates and aspiring entrepreneurs pro bono.

Alongside advisory work, I bring research strength in entrepreneurial ecosystems and labour markets. I hold an MSc in Emerging Economies and International Development from King’s College London, where I researched Tanzania’s innovation ecosystem, and I have worked as a Research Fellow at Università di Milano Bicocca on the EU funded MUSA project, translating founder and firm level data into practical recommendations for ecosystem stakeholders.

Outside work, I recharge outdoors, cycling, hiking, and swimming, and I love padel, pottery, hosting a book club, and cooking for friends.

Let’s talk.

If you are working on venture growth, investment readiness, or ecosystem delivery, I would love to hear what you are building.
Email me a few lines about the context and what you need.
